If Sharlene Hector’s face looks familiar it may be because you recognise her from Coca-Cola’s I Wish ad campaign, singing Nina Simone’s Jazz classic, I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free. The UK singer/ songwriter has worked as a backing vocalist for numerous artists including Dave Stewart (Eurythmics), Hurts, Lalah Hathaway, Tinie Tempah, Emeli Sandé and Josh Groban. As well as performing on TV shows such as X Factor, Jonathan Ross and Later with Jools Holland, supporting the likes of Michael Bublé, Katherine Jenkins and Muse, Sharlene has also recorded backing vocals for Clean Bandit, Rag And Bone Man, Primal Scream and JP Cooper. Sharlene is a regular performer at the world renowned Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London’s Soho.
Sharlene is excited to be returning to the Stag Theatre for her second Christmas in Sevenoaks.
