Our relaxed performance, at 5pm on Tuesday 10 December, is where the ambience of the auditorium and theatre 'rules' are relaxed.
This performance is ideal for people with learning disabilities, autism, neurodiversity, or anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed environment. Audience members who need to leave the space, or come in and out of the space where necessary, audience members who may struggle to sit still or quietly may enjoy our relaxed performance.
House lighting will be left on at a low level so it’s easier to see or move around when necessary although we do ask that the aisles and stairs are kept free.
A space outside the auditorium will be available, where you and the people you come with can go to if they need quiet time during the show.
We may make subtle changes to the show, so that people's needs have been considered. For instance, very loud noises or music might be turned down or specific movements or lines might be adapted slightly.
Finally, members of the cast will be introduced themselves before the performance starts, and characters will explain how audience members can ‘join in’, in the traditional pantomime style, if they wish too.
