Gospel Choir to star in Sevenoaks Panto
The incredible sound of a live Gospel Choir will feature in this year’s spectacular family pantomime, Dick Whittington.
Six world class singers will join the cast to perform at the Stag Theatre Sevenoaks, adding an even more exciting live sound to a show that already has earned a reputation for West End standard performances.
Among them, the singers have worked with some of the biggest artists and TV shows in the world, including Stevie Wonder, Justin Timberlake and Elton John, The X Factor UK and USA, and The Voice UK.
The Gospel Choir has been put together especially for the Stag’s panto, the six singers joining Britain’s Got Talent star Danny Beard, and Sevenoaks’ favourites Ant ‘Silly Billy’ Payne and Jasette Amos, as well as a fantastic five piece band.
Dick Whittington, the tenth pantomime season in Sevenoaks since the Stag reopened, now plays to over 20,000 annually, and this year’s show is set to be the biggest yet. The choir will play the Council Of London, helping Dick Whittington on his way to defeat the evil Queen Rat, and to become Lord Mayor of London Town!
The choir features Stella Betton (Fluer East, Max Stone), Sharlene Hector (Michael Buble, John Legend, Clean Bandit, Basement Jaxx), Emily Holligan (Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Rag’n’Bone Man, Emeli Sande), Simon King (X Factor UK and USA, London Community Gospel Choir, Stevie Wonder, Justin Timberlake), Alanna Leslie (Madonna, Ellie Goulding, Sir Tom Jones, Will Young, Damon Albarn), and Jason Nicholson Porter (Emeli Sande, Wretch 32, The Voice UK 2018).
